Dolphins CB Will Allen Out For The Season With A Torn ACL

Miami Dolphins cornerback Will Allen will miss the rest of the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament, team sources told the Miami Herald.

Allen suffered the injury to his left knee with 7:28 remaining in the third quarter – the same play when linebacker Jason Taylor forced Saints quarterback Drew Brees to fumble the ball on his own 15-yard line.

The injury means first-round pick from Illinois Vontae Davis will take over as the team’s starting cornerback opposite his rookie teammate from Utah Sean Smith.
