2010 FIFA World Cup Takes Over Twitter

This just in, The 2010 FIFA World Cup has taken over Twitter.

Twitter, the popular social networking site, launched a World Cup page just for this huge annual soccer event.

Above is a screenshot of the tweets going on about the World Cup. This has to be the hottest I’ve ever seen Twitter. People from all over the world tweeting about the matches, who scored, who won, who lost, etc.

You will also see in the screenshot that all the flags of the different countries participating in the World Cup are available to click so you could see the tweets from people around the world that are commenting about goals scored, star players and rooting their country on.

I also added a screenshot of the Trending Topics as of 12pm EST. They are all about the World Cup.

As you can see from my tweet, this is my response to the Twitter World Cup takeover.

Have fun watching and GO USA!!!
