2012 Olympic Swim Trials To Be Held In Omaha

Officials confirm the Olympic Swim Trials are coming back to Omaha in 2012.The announcement came Thursday afternoon during a news conference at the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce.

The event will be held June 25 to July 2.The 2012 College World Series will overlap the swim trials by at least a day with the three-game championship series planned for June 24, 25 and 26.The 2008 trials, held at the Qwest Center Omaha, were considered a big success by Olympic officials. In fact, they said they didn’t even let the trials out for bid because they wanted to come back to the city.
