Baylor QB Robert Griffin III Throws Five TD’s To Upset #14 TCU 50-48

Baylor junior quarterback Robert Griffin III lit up #14 TCU on Friday night with a 359 yard five touchdown performance to beat the Horned Frogs 50-48.

Griffin and the Bears had TCU up by 24 points at the end of the third quarter when the Horned Frogs exploded with a 25-point fourth quarter to come and take the lead by one. Bears kicker Aaron Jones kicked a 28-yard field goal to give Baylor the victory.

The Bears had a great performance from senior running back Terrance Ganaway, finishing with 120 yards on the ground and huge day by senior wide receiver Kendall Wright who seemed uncoverable all night catching 12 balls for 189 yards and two touchdowns. Junior wide receiver Terrance Williams also contributed with six catches, 126 yards and two scores.

This Baylor win gives them their first win over a ranked opponent in 20 yards and in the process gave the Horned Frogs their first loss in the 24 games.
