Chicago Bears defensive end Julius Peppers will be facing a lot of familiar faces this afternoon when the Bears visit the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium.

“You’ve still got to play the game,” Peppers said. “It doesn’t matter what you know beforehand. I’ve still got to beat those guys. It doesn’t matter if I know how they set. I’ve still got to get that done. And things could change. They could do something totally different.

“I have a couple more moves that I’ve developed since I’ve been here that they’ve seen on tape but haven’t practiced against. I don’t really think that’s going to make too much of a difference, the familiarity between me and those guys. I just think whoever plays best will get the job done.”

I think Peppers will be playing with an extra gear today facing his former team.
