Bears LB Lance Briggs Disappointed With Alex Brown Trade
Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs said during an interview on Comcast SportsNet that he was disappointed when the team traded DE Alex Brown to the New Orleans Saints, reports the Chicago Tribune.
Brown was traded shortly after the Bears signed defensive end Julius Peppers. Briggs said, “When I first heard it, I was pissed. I was hurt. I thought bringing in Peppers was one of the greatest moves that the Bears had made, and then you get rid of you know, the other side. I mean, I just saw Alex having the highest sack total he’s ever had. But when I sat down and thought about it for a while, I understand the move. I don’t like it, but I understand the move.”

WOW he was traded?…What did we get for him? What it should really say is that we let him go an the saints picked him up. It would've been a smarter move to trade him but we know the bears are not that smart to get some kinda value for a great player like brown.
