Bengals Trade WR Chad Ochocinco To The Patriots

According to ESPN’s John Clayton, the New England Patriots have landed Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco.

Ochocinco agreed to restructure his contract and accept a three-year deal from the Patriots.

Ochocinco comes in the same day that the Patriots landed another Pro Bowl player, defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth from the Redskins early this morning.

Ochocinco was to earn $6.35 million this season and New England needed to squeeze him
in under the new cap.

The Bengals receive a late draft pick in 2012 and 2013 from the Patriots in exchange for Ochocinco.
