Broncos 25th Pick QB Tim Tebow Seeking More Money Than 24th Pick WR Dez Bryant
According to Ed Werder of ESPN.com, the Broncos and the agent for Tim Tebow have “feverishly”working to complete contract negotiations. According to one source, progress has beern made and the deal should be finalized in the next 24-48 hours.
Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels called Tebow when the quarterback failed to sign in time for the official beginning of training camp, which began with a meeting Wednesday morning.The full team doesn’t take the field until Sunday but quarterbacks Kyle Orton and Brady Quinn are participating. McDaniels reminded Tebow that he is losing repetitions that he can never regain and needs them more than the veteran players against whom he will be competing.
One sticking point in the negotiations is the contract signed by No.24 pick Dez Bryant.. who is already in camp. Tebow’s agent Jimmy Sexton expects the Broncos to pay the “customary quarterback premium”, which would mean the 25th pick would make more than the 24th. Tebow’s agent is also seeking more guaranteed money in a signing bonus.

damn, dosent the holy boy know greed is a sin????
No surprise here…Tim Tebow is no dummy and he knows that the hype he has right now entering into this season is more than likely as high as it'll ever be once he gets a few NFL seasons under his belt. So the idea of him getting his money now is the best route to go in, considering the possibility of a let down he may become.
No shade on Tebow but I'm still not convinced it'll translate in the pros, but only time will tell I guess.
