Broncos RB Laurence Maroney Arrested On Weapons And Drug Charges
According FOX 31 KDVR, Broncos running back Laurence Maroney was arrested in St. Louis late Monday night on unlawful weapons charges and drug charges.
Maroney, 25, and three other men were in a vehicle pulled over by officers. Police say Maroney was arrested and released, but would not confirm the charges against him.
Maroney was a first-round pick of the Patriots in 2006 before was traded to Denver late this season.
Maroney was a standout athlete in the St. Louis area. He went to Normandy Senior High School where he earned four varsity letters in football, three in track, two in basketball, and one in baseball.
