Broncos Rookie WR Demaryius Thomas Out Til Training Camp
Denver Broncos rookie wide receiver Demaryius Thomas said on Twitter that he was going to get X-rays on his broken foot. He later posted just one word: Sad. By Wednesday, those messages were removed from his Twitter account. Thomas has been sidelined since breaking the fifth metatarsal in his left foot while training for the NFL scouting combine in February.
The team had no official comment, but the paper reports the X-rays did not have a “sad” result. Still, Thomas said Thursday he doesn’t know when he will join the Broncos on the practice field. Thomas earlier said he didn’t think he would be ready until June. Broncos coach Josh McDaniels indicated training camp, which begins the final week of July, would be the target date for all his players recovering from foot injuries.
