Broward County’s Best – QB Denard Robinson, DE Jason Pierre-Paul & CB Patrick Peterson
Michigan Wolverines quarterback Denard Robinson put in some serious work against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish for the second year in a row but this time more with his arm, than with his legs in this year’s classic.
Robinson finished the game with 338 passing yards, four touchdowns and three interceptions and added a 108 yard rushing performance and a fifth touchdown for the game beating Notre Dame 35-31.
Robinson went to Deerfield Beach High School in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
With major injuries to normal starters at defensive end for the Giants, Justin Tuck and Osi Umenyiora, second-year player Jason Pierre-Paul racked up five tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble in a 28-14 loss to the Redskins.
Pierre-Paul went to Deerfield Beach High School in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
Arizona Cardinals rookie cornerback/return specialist Patrick Peterson had five tackles but the biggest play he made on Sunday was an 89-yard punt return that proved to be the game clinching score to beat the Carolina Panthers 28-21.
Peterson went to Ely High School in Pompano Beach, Florida.
