Browns Trade WR Braylon Edwards To The Jets

edwards

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that troubled Cleveland Browns wide receiver Braylon Edwards has been traded to the New York Jets for wide receiver Chansi Stuckey, special teamer Jason Trusnik and two draft picks.

The New York Jets have just traded for the #1 receiver they’ve been looking for since drafting rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez in this year’s draft.

Edwards, a fifth-year veteran from Michigan, has caught only 10 passes for 139 yards this season for the winless Browns and has had issues ever since his breakout season in 2007.

I believe the recent incident surrounding Edwards involving an illeged fight between he and one of Cleveland Cavaliers’ forward LeBron James’ friends was the straw that broke the camel’s back for the Browns organization.
