Buccaneers Turn To Rookie Josh Freeman to Start At QB

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris has decided to turn to rookie Josh Freeman as the starter at quarterback.

Veteran Byron Leftwich began the season as the Buccaneers’ starting quarterback but was replaced after three games by Josh Johnson.

Freeman, drafted 17th overall by the Bucs out of Kansas State, saw his first action in Sunday’s blowout loss to the Patriots in London when he relieved Johnson. He completed two of four passes for 16 yards.
