Buckeyes RB Wells To Enter 2009 NFL Draft
Ohio State Buckeyes star running back Chris “Beanie” Wells has decided to forgo his senior season and enter the 2009 NFL Draft.
Wells has had a nice career as the Buckeyes top ball carrier, but has also had an injury plaqued 2008 season and missed a few games with a foot injury.
Wells will finish his Buckeyes career with 3,382 yards and 30 touchdowns.
MKRob’s Draft Analysis January 9, 2009: Wells is a top five talent, but because of the draft order, team needs and more announcements of other draft eligible playerss, I can only say that Wells will be a first round pick. If everything goes well with his injury recovery, combine and individual workouts, I think he goes to the Bengals at #6.
The Bengals can kill two birds with one stone here. They would be getting a position of need, which in my opinion is their top need, and a local talent playing down the road at Ohio State will put more butts in the seats.
