Bucks Rookie G Brandon Jennings Scores 55 Against The Warriors
Milwaukee Bucks rookie Brandon Jennings scored 55 points on Saturday, breaking the team’s all-time scoring record for a rookie, formerly held by Lew Alcindor.
He made 21-of-34 field goals, 7-of-8 three-pointers, and 6-of-8 free throws.
Jennings scored 29 points in the third quarter alone, the most points ever scored by one player in a quarter against the Warriors. He tied Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s Bucks-high and came two points shy of Michael Redd’s franchise-record 57.
The Warriors defense is obviously porous, but Jennings’ shot was falling all over and every GM who passed over him on draft day must be shaking their heads after this historic gem.
