Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin Will Be A Game Time Decision

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin spent part of Saturday testing his injured left ankle and knee to see if countless hours of rehab and treatment had been effective enough to allow him to play in Sunday’s NFC playoff game against the Packers.

Unless he told coach Ken Whisenhunt after team meetings Saturday night that he couldn’t go, Boldin likely will take the field for pregame workouts, and then it will be a game-time decision.

“Hopefully he can go, but if not, we’ve got to have other guys step up,” Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner said. “Maybe it’s one guy, maybe it’s two guys, maybe it’s three guys. But we have to have that group bring the same effort he brings every time out, because that’s what it’s going to take to beat a team like the Packers.”

Receiver Larry Fitzgerald had a sneaking suspicion that Boldin will be in the starting lineup.

“If I were to be a betting man and, knowing his toughness, I know he’s going to give it a go,” Fitzgerald said. “I don’t know if he’s going to be 100 percent, but I know he’s going to want to go out there and play. He’s worked too hard.”
