CBS’s 60 Minutes Interviews Michael Vick

michael-vick-2

The CBS news magazine “60 Minutes” will feature an interview Sunday with former NFL player Michael Vick. It is the one-time quarterback’s first interview since he confessed two years ago to running a brutal dog fighting ring that included torture of the animals.

James Brown, an anchorman for CBS Sports, conducts the interview which was taped Monday.

Vick has been conditionally re-instated by the NFL as of July 27, according to CBS. Under the terms laid out by the league, Vick could be back in uniform by the sixth week of the season.

Will you watch Vick on 60 Minutes? Do you think CBS should be giving him this showcase?

Some will surely see this as the beginning of an effort to rehabilitate the image of Vick, who spent 18 months in federal prison.

The network says a representative of the Humane Society of the United States will also be interviewed on “60 Minutes” Sunday.

I am an animal lover. And I have to be honest, I do not think I can watch. I have a real problem with the kind of suffering he caused for those poor animals.

TV is the highway to hero status in our culture, and I suspect the “60 Minutes” prime-time showcase is Vick’s first major step back on that road.

Give him a chance,
Whyle; I am in no way, supporting
his actions and feel that he
deserved to go to prision.

I do feel that like all of Us,Who are far from
perfect, deserve a second chance at life. I am
a long time Dog owner and love my pets. and
think that Mr.Vick's actions Where above crule.

Having seen the interview;tonight and hearing
how he grew up seing Dog Fights as a young
Child,it's understandable to see Why he
grew up thinking there was nothing wrong
with it.

That being said; He is an adult and knows right from wrong
and he knew his actions in dog fighting was dead wrong,he
should have made better choices. But I feel that he has learnd
from his misteaks and has a mentor Tony Dungy that will
put him back on a much better path.

Yes;all the choices that he makes depends on him 100%,his
actions must back up his words and I hope that he does learn
from this, that he takes an lifelong active role to work with
the ASPCA and Pita to help put an end to Dog Fighting, speak
to children all over the U.S. and become a better husband,Father
and Human Being, besides a Great Player.

So People;Give Him a chance, Just think if You had made
a major life misteak,Would You not want everyone, family, friends
and Society to give You a second chance. And for those of
You in Pita/ASPCA Who say no, Then You are really not
Christians and Don't truely follow God's Word.
