Chargers DT Travis Johnson Signs One-Year Tender

Travis Johnson signed his restricted free agent tender to remain with the San Diego Chargers on Wednesday. The one-year deal is worth $1.226 million.

Despite an uneventful season, the Chargers tendered Johnson at a first-round level.

He recorded just 16 tackles in 13 games in 2009.

The Chargers acquired the 6-foot-3, 311 pound defensive lineman in a trade with the Houston Texans prior to last season.

Johnson was the Texans first-round draft pick out of Florida State in 2005.
