Chargers WR Vincent Jackson Prepared For Lengthy Holdout
did not sign his restricted free-agent tender before the June 15 deadline, reports the San Diego Union-Tribune, and is reportedly prepared for a lengthy holdout from the team.
Jackson would have been under contract for one year at over $3.2 million had he signed the tender, but now his offer can be reduced to 110 percent of his 2009 salary, which is $583,000.
Sources say that Jackson is prepared not to play with the Chargers until Week 10, when he must show up and finish the season in order to earn an accrued season under the NFL’s Collective Bargaining Agreement.
