Chargers WR Vincent Jackson Suspended For Three Games
Holdout or not, Vincent Jackson won’t suit up for the first three games of the regular season. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the NFL suspended the disgruntled Chargers wide receiver three games for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.
He pleaded guilty in February for driving under the influence, his second conviction. Jackson’s suspension came at a bad time. He already planned on not reporting to the Chargers unless he got a long term contract extension that no one believes is coming. If the season begins and Jackson has not reported to the team, then he would have been suspended for three games he wouldn’t have played in anyway.
