Chiefs Activate RB Kolby Smith From PUP List

The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Saturday that the club has activated RB Kolby Smith from the Reserve/Physically-Unable-to-Perform List.
Smith (5-11, 219) has played in 23 games (nine starts) with Kansas City, rushing 147 times for 507 yards (3.4 avg.) with three TDs and catching 32 passes for 200 yards (6.3 avg.). He also owns nine special teams tackles. He spent the final eight games of the 2008 campaign on injured reserve after suffering a knee injury vs. Tampa Bay (11/2/08). He entered the NFL as the first of the Chiefs two fifth-round picks (148th overall) in the 2007 NFL Draft.
In 45 games (12 starts) at Louisville, Smith carried the ball 316 times for 1,892 yards (6.0 avg.) with 18 TDs and added 56 receptions for 581 yards (10.4 avg.) with two TDs. He prepped at Rickards High School in Tallahassee, Florida.
