Chiefs Coach Todd Haley Feels QB Matt Cassel Will Improve In 2010

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Todd Haley believes the main reason for QB Matt Cassel‘s struggles last season were due to a poor supporting cast, according to Bill Williamson, of ESPN.com.

Haley believes Cassel will benefit from an improved offensive line, the presence of RB Thomas Jones and a stronger receiving group this upcoming season. “We had 50-plus drops last season.

If those don’t happen, people would look at Cassel differently … If we get the improved offensive play around him that we hope to, I think people will feel better about Matt Cassel,” Haley said.
