Chiefs LB Derrick Johnson Named AFC Defensive Player Of The Week

Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Derrick Johnson has been named the AFC defensive player of the week by the National Football League.Johnson played a key role in Kansas City’s 44-24 victory at Denver on Sunday. He tied an NFL record by returning two passes for touchdowns.

Johnson returned a Kyle Orton pass 45 yards for a score in the third quarter and he returned a second Orton interception for a 60-yard score.

This is the second player of the week honor for Johnson and the second Chiefs player to receive the award this season. Mike Brown took home the award after Kansas City’s 16-10 win over Oakland.
