Clemson DE Da’Quan Bowers Will Enter The 2011 NFL Draft
Clemson Tigers junior defensive end Da’Quan Bowers has decided to give up his final season of eligibility to enter the 2011 NFL draft.
Bowers lead the nation this year with 15½ sacks and was second with 26 tackles for loss.
Bowers had a very mournful season losing his father Dennis in August and just five months later mentor and former Clemson and NFL defensive end Gaines Adams died out of the blue.
Bowers used the deaths as inspiration this season breaking his mentors sack record for Tigers defensive linemen.
Bowers won two big defensive awards this season, walking away with the Nagurski Award as the top defensive player and the Ted Hendricks Award as the country’s top defensive end.
