Colts C Jeff Saturday Out 2-6 Weeks Rehabbing From Knee Surgery
Indianapolis Colts’ center Jeff Saturday has gone through a successful arthroscopic knee surgery and reportedly will began rehabbing immediately. There is not a time frame listed yet by the colts but all reports peg the duration of the rehab to about 2-6 weeks. Saturday only missed six of a possible 160 regular-season starts since 2000.
This is horrible news for Peyton Manning. If Jeff Saturday does indeed miss the full 6 weeks or even more, it would be devastating for Manning owners, the stat above(only 6 missed starts out of 160) tells the tale pretty vividly.
Indystar.com reports, ‘He most recently missed four games in 2008, including the season’s first two after damaging the medial collateral ligament in his right knee during the third preseason game. He missed two later games with a strained left calf muscle.’ Manning is used to having Saturday on the O-line. He is one of the best centers in the game and his loss would be huge.
