Colts RB Mike Hart Looking To Get More Involved This Season

The Indianapolis Star reports Colts running back Mike Hart is motivated entering his third season. He’s hoping for an increased role behind Joseph Addai and Donald Brown, but he’s ready to help out the Colts in any way he can. “It’s that no-quit attitude I’ve always had,” he said. “Things may not be going right, I may not be first string or second string, but when I get out there, I want people to know when I’m out there. I’m taking a little detour, but there’s always a way back.

The detour just takes longer to get there.” The Colts are confident Hart can be a contributor this year, whether in a reserve role or on special teams. “He’s a guy who has a real solid football instinct about him,” coach Jim Caldwell said. “He has a knack for understanding how the game should be played. He’s got a great knack in terms of his vision and ability. He knows himself. He’s obviously a guy who has great passion for what he does.”
