Colts Rookie RB Javarris James Score Two Touchdowns In Loss
Indianapolis Colts rookie running back Javarris James scored his first two touchdowns of his career in yesterday’s loss to the Eagles.
James is an undrafted rookie free agent out of the University of Miami who had been bounced around in his rookie season who was signed by the Colts, was released and was signed by the Patriots, was released and was then signed by the Washington Redskins and eventually ended up back in Indianapolis after injuries to Joseph Addai and Mike Hart.
“I’d rather have the win than the two touchdowns,” James said after the Colts came up short against the Philadelphia Eagles 26-24. “When you don’t win, nothing else matters.”
James is the first rookie to rush for two touchdowns in a game since cousin Edgerrin ran for two in a 45-37 win at Cincinnati on Nov. 20, 2005.
