Could USC Commit T Seantrel Henderson Transfer To Miami?
will have some thinking to do in light of the NCAA sanctions against USC.
Seantrel Henderson, who once listed Miami as a finalist, has the option of requesting a release from the national letter-of-intent he signed in March. The Trojans received a two-year postseason ban and will lose 30 scholarships during the next three years after committing various NCAA violations.
Henderon, a 6-foot-8, 301-pound tackle out of St. Paul (Minn.) Cretin-Derham Hall, chose USC after strongly considering UM and Ohio State. The Hurricanes and Trojans were believed to be the top choices because Henderson, called by some recruiting analysts as the best offensive line prospect in recent memory, preferred to play in warm weather.
Stacy Osburn, the director of public relations for the NCAA, said via email Henderson would have to go through the normal national letter-of-intent release process. That includes winning an appeal against an NCAA committee.
“Until that process is complete, we cannot speculate on the possible outcome,” Osburn said.
