Cowboys LB DeMarcus Ware Released From Hospital After Suffering Sprained Neck

Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware is resting at home after checking out of a local hospital Sunday night with a sprained neck.

Ware was carted off the field in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s loss to San Diego but had full use of his extremeties and full strength. He waved to the crowd and gave a thumbs up as he left. Ware was talking to players as he was tended to by the doctors, including former teammate Kevin Burnett and Shawne Merriman.

Ware had X-rays and more tests performed at the hospital, but owner and general manager Jerry Jones said everything looked positive for Ware after the game. The Cowboys will have an update on his condition Monday and his availability for Saturday’s game at New Orleans is not known.
