Cowboys Rookie WR Dez Bryant Out 4-6 Weeks With A High Ankle Sprain

Dallas Cowboys rookie wide receiver Dez Bryant was helped off the field on Friday after suffering a sprained ankle late in the team’s afternoon practice.

The team announced Friday after evaluating the injury that the rookie first-round pick would miss four to six weeks.

Bryant was nicked after getting tangled up with DB Orlando Scandrick while running an over-the-middle route.

“He rolled his ankle, but I think he’ll be all right,” Scandrick told the Dallas Morning News.

Cowboys VP Stephen Jones said Bryant would undergo an MRI and would certainly miss time in the team’s upcoming workouts.
