Cowboys Rookie WR Dez Bryant To Handle Punt Returns
According to Dallas Morning News’ David Moore it’s looking as though wide receiver Dez Bryant, the explosive Oklahoma State product, will be on punt return duty for the Dallas Cowboys.
Dez is 6’2″ and 215 pounds. He was chosen 24th overall and turns 22 on November 4. Dallas threw out Dez’s off-field issues and took him on the possibilities that he has to offer. Bryant is already working with a three receiver set with the first team.
Dallas Cowboys head coach has Bryant penciled in as the teams’ punt return man, but it is real early in the season, and there’s much to do for all. Michael Lombardi of the National Football Post says he would be “extremely surprised” if Bryant doesn’t win the number two job. “Bryant is nifty, explosive and powerful as an athlete, and he can run all the routes that quarterback Tony Romo favors.”
