Delhomme’s 5 Interceptions Bury Panthers Against The Cardinals
The injury to Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin did not affect the team at all as they defeated the Carolina Panthers 33-13 with great all-around play on offense and defense. The victory gives them a spot in the NFC Championship Game.
Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner threw for 220 yards and two touchdowns one to wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, who finished with eight catches for 166 yards and the other to running back Tim Hightower. Running back Edgerrin James contributed with 57 yards and a touchdown.
The key to this game was the five interceptions thrown by Panthers quarterback Jake Delhomme to it seemed like every defender the Cardinals had. Delhomme threw interceptions to five different Cardinals. The Cardinals defense shut down the great duo of DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart which was they key to the Panthers playoff run. Williams and Stewart were held to just 75 yards rushing the entire game, with majority coming from Williams with 63 yards rushing.
Next up for the Cardinals is the winner of the Giants, Eagles game Sunday afternoon.
GOOD JOB CARDINALS!!!
