Eagles WR DeSean Jackson Named NFC Offensive Player Of The Week

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson will be named the NFC’s Offensive Player of the Week on Wednesday for his spectacular performance in Monday night’s 27-17 win over the Washington Redskins.
Jackson scored two big touchdowns to propel the offense. He took an end around for a 67-yard touchdown run, the longest run of his career, for the game’s opening points. He added a 57-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter to put the Eagles ahead 27-7. Jackson got Redskins cornerback Carlos Rogers to bite on a double move and he was WIDE open for his fifth touchdown of the season.
Jackson’s performance left his teammates in awe.
“You really can’t even put it into words. A guy his size, the way he plays, the way he runs, you’ve seen it. He’s a special player,” running back LeSean McCoy said. “I have got to say that he is probably the best player I’ve played with or against – in college or pro so far. Just saying that right there means a lot.”
