Falcons DT Peria Jerry Will Play Against The Dolphins
Jeff Haws of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Atlanta Falcons defensive tackle Peria Jerry will play in Friday’s preseason game against the Miami Dolphins.
Jerry has not played in nearly a year, when he suffered a season-ending knee injury in the second game of the 2009 season. Jerry said:
“I’m very excited to get this opportunity to go out there and play. I’m just going to go out and try to do my job. We’ll see how everything goes from there.”
Head coach Mike Smith said he isn’t quite ready to throw Jerry into too high a level of work right from the start, but Jerry will start the team’s game.
