Former Cardinals LB Ali Highsmith Arrested For Marijuana Possession
According to the , former LSU linebacker and former NFL player Ali Highsmith was arrested late last week, accused of possession of marijuana, a Baton Rouge police spokesman said today.
Highsmith, 25, was arrested at 10 a.m. Friday after letting narcotics detectives with the Baton Rouge Police Department and State Police search his home at 10720 Linkwood Court, Sgt. Don Kelly said.
Authorities found two pounds of marijuana in Highsmith’s refrigerator, Kelly said. They also found a grinder and a vaporizer, he said.
The estimated street value of the marijuana is between $23,000 and $24,000, Kelly said.
Highsmith played for LSU from 2004-07. He went on to play with the Arizona Cardinals and was waived by the San Diego Chargers in August.
