Former Packers RB Ahman Green Signs With UFL’s Omaha Nighthawks

Ahman Green decided to walk away from the NFL and joined the Omaha Nighthawks of the UFL on Wednesday.

The once great Green Bay Packers running back played 12 seasons in the National Football League before joining Daunte Culpepper as former NFL elite hoping to extend their career in the alternate football league, which is entering its second season.

Green, 33, rejoined the Packers last season after spending a disappointing two years with the Houston Texans.

His fortunes did not improve with a return to Green Bay where he played in only eight games, carrying the ball 41 times for 160 yards and one touchdown.

He will likely finish his NFL career with 9,205 yards and 60 touchdowns on the ground.
