Former Phillies Manager Dallas Green Loses Granddaughter In Arizona Shooting
The shocking shooting from Saturday morning in Arizona have managed to affect the sports world.
According to , the 9-year old girl that was among those who were killed in the senseless shooting spree directed at congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was the grandaughter of former Phillies manager Dallas Green.
The girl, who was actually born on one of the most tragic days in United States history, September 11, 2001, went to a local supermarket with a neighbor in hopes of meeting the congresswoman.
The neighbor was also shot, but survived. Her father, John Green, is currently a scout for the LA Dodgers.
