Former Raiders QB Jeff Garcia Signs With The UFL’s Omaha Nighthawks
Former Oakland Raiders quarterback Jeff Garcia announced Tuesday that he will play for the Omaha Nighthawks this season.
“I was hoping to get back into the NFL this year,” Garcia said per David White of the San Francisco Chronicle. “We had teams that expressed interest, but nobody wanted to fully commit.”
The 40-year-old quarterback joins long-time Green Bay Packers running back Ahman Green who has become the league’s star attraction in Omaha.
Former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Daunte Culpepper also signed on with the UFL earlier this year and will play for the Sacramento Mountain Lions.
