Former Titans RB LenDale White Admits To Marijuana Use
Running back LenDale White, who was released by the Seahawks last month, admitted to using marijuana.
White was acquired by Seattle from Tennessee in late April, but a month later he was released by the Seahawks.
In an interview with the Tennessean, White said he blames himself for his current situation in that he’s looking for a job in the NFL. Reports indicate White is expecting to get a four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s drug policy.
“I did it, so it is my fault,” White told the newspaper. “I smoked marijuana; that is all I have ever done. That’s all I do, that’s it. I smoke. I don’t care about any other drugs, but it’s marijuana. But I have changed. I am a good man. Unfortunately the stuff that I did in my recent past caught up to me in the present and it’s affecting my future.”
White rushed 628 times for 2,349 yards and 24 touchdowns in his four seasons with the Titans. He was presumably traded to Seattle because of emerging star Chris Johnson. That also allowed White to be reunited with head coach Pete Carroll from their days together at USC until the Seahawks released the veteran running back.
