Gators LB Brandon Spikes Suspended For First Half Of Vanderbilt Game For Eye Gouging Incident

Florida Gators head coach Urban Meyer has suspended linebacker Brandon Spikes for the first half of the Vanderbilt game after seeing on that Spikes was shoving his hand into the facemask of Georgia running back Washaun Ealey last weekend.

Gators coach Urban Meyer announced Spikes’ punishment on Monday. The Southeastern Conference said it will look at replays of the incident later in the day.
