Georgia WR A.J. Green Will Enter The 2011 NFL Draft

Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver A.J. Green really surprised no one by announcing on Sunday afternoon his intentions to enter the 2011 NFL Draft.

Some may believe that Green’s draft status may drop because of a four-game suspension by the NCAA at the beginning of the season for selling a bowl jersey for $1,000 to an agent. If anything, his draft stock jumped up when Stanford Cardinal quarterback Andrew Luck decided to return for his senior season.

At 6-foot-4, 205-pounds, Green has ideal makeup for franchise wide receiver, size, speed, leaping ability and most of all his body control. When the ball is in the air, Green has the innate ability to get his body into the right position to make the catch.

In his three years at Georgia, Green had 166 catches for 2,619 yards and 23 touchdowns. Even after missing four games this season, he led the Bulldogs with 57 catches for 848 yards and nine touchdowns.
