Giants QB Eli Manning Confident In Receivers

Manning is confident that the Giants’ receivers will be able to replace the departed Plaxico Burress and Amani Toomer. “I think we are in a good spot right now,” quarterback Eli Manning said Friday, looking back on the play of the wideouts in the preseason. “I think the guys are confident in their abilities.”
Impacts: The Giants’ offense looked very good on its first three series, with Manning running the first drive and David Carr handling the last two. The three drives lasted a total of 12 plays and resulted in touchdown passes of 23 and 12 yards to Sinorice Moss, and a 64-yard catch and run by first-round draft pick Hakeem Nicks, who has scored three touchdowns in the last two games.
