New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin said Wednesday that quarterback Eli Manning has been held out of practice so he can get treatment on his injured right foot.

Coughlin said Manning would be evaluated day to day and as for him starting in Sunday’s game at home against the Oakland Raiders, will be game time decision.

Manning’s intentions are to play.

Backup quarterback David Carr would be Manning’s replacement if he couldn’t play.  Carr took the first-team snaps in Wednesday’s practice.
