2008 Beijing Olympics Basketball- USA vs China

The USA Basketball Team are playing their first major game in the Beijing Olympics this morning at 10:00am against Yao Ming and China. I fully expect this team to blow through the Olympics and win the Gold Medal with no issues. This team has four of my top five players in the league, which means there’s no excuse for them not to win the gold. Heck, the U.S. has “the best players in the world” right? GO USA!!!

Prediction: USA 121 China 88

Here’s the starting five:

Point Guard- Jason Kidd

Shooting Guard- Kobe Bryant

Small Forward- LeBron James

Power Forward- Carmelo Anthony

Center-Dwight Howard

No way Kidd and Carmelo should be starting. I would put Chris Paul at point, D-Wade at 2, Kobe at 3, LBJ at 4, and Howard in the middle. My second team would be Williams,Redd,Melo,Boozer(Prince), & Bosh. Personally Kidd wouldn’t be on my team, but if he was he would never see the court.

I agree totally, Chris Paul is the man, Kidd isn’t what he used to be. I just think he’s there for experience personally.
