Goodell Rescinds $7,500 Fine For Justin Tuck Hit

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell got it right for a change. Goodell rescinded the $7,500 fine from New York Giants defensive end Justin Tuck after his hit on Dallas Cowboys quarterback Brooks Bollinger. The ESPN report says that Friday was the first time Goodell had seen the play. TIMEOUT!!! Why isn’t the replay shown to the commissioner before a fine is dealt out? This makes no sense to me. Everytime there’s a questionable fine, the replay should be seen by the commissioner and then he decides whether a fine should be handed out. Maybe this course of action makes too much sense for the No Fun League.
