MKRob: When did you start playing football?

Herb: I started when I was 7 playing for the Holiday Park Barracudas

MKRob: What are you favorite football teams?

Herb: Hampton and The San Francisco 49ers

MKRob: Why did you pick Hampton over other college programs?

Herb: Hampton because they stuck with me when the other schools thought I wouldn’t pass the FCAT.

MKRob: What other schools were you recruited by?

Herb: Louisville, Bowling Green, N.Carolina, Kansas and Kansas State.

MKRob: How is it going from playing in the orange and black of Boyd Anderson to the blue and gray of Hampton, knowing those are the colors of rival Dillard High School?

Herb: When I first found out the colors it felt awkward.

MKRob: What position did you play in little league?

Herb: I didn’t play quarterback in little league, I played defense, offensive line and fullback.

MKRob: Who do you pattern your game after?

Herb: Donovan McNabb

MKRob: What other sports have you played?

Herb: Basketball, volleyball and track and field

MKRob: What is your most memorable football moment?

Herb: In the delaware state game last year, it was 3rd and 8 and we needed a touchdown to win and I threw a 26 yard pass to Justin Brown to win the game.

MKRob: What kind of music do you listen to before the game?

Herb: I have a section on my ipod called pre-game and i listen to R&B to get me relaxed and then when it gets closer to game time I listen to rap to get me motivated.

MKRob: Who are your favorite artists?

Herb: Gucci Man, Plies, T.I. and Young Jeezy

MKRob: What are your goals for this year?

Herb: Win the MEAC and then take it to the playoffs.

MKRob: If you could play against one team at any level, who would it be and why?

Herb: The Florida gators, because i respect what Tim Tebow does and I’ve wanted to play against since high school since he was the #1 quarterback in Florida and I was #2.

MKRob: What game are you most looking forward to this season?

Herb: Homecoming against South Carolina St. because we had a chance to beat them and win the MEAC last year and we didn’t so I want another shot at them.

MKRob: What are your plans for after football?

Herb: I want to go to the next level but if not i want to continue running the quarterback clinic at my high school.
