Jaguars Rookie QB Blaine Gabbert To Start Against Carolina

Jacksonville Jaguars rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert will get his first start against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday afternoon.

Gabbert, a first-round pick out of Missouri, will take the place of opening day starter Luke McCown who had a horrible game last Sunday throwing four interceptions in a 32-3 loss to the New York Jets.

This matchup will put two top 10 NFL Draft picks against each other putting Gabbert against arguably the hottest rookie quarterback in years with the emergence of Cam Newton.

Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio took several days to evaluate the situation before turning things over the Gabbert.
