Jaguars Sign Former Chiefs RB Kolby Smith
The Jacksonville Jaguars announced that they have signed former Chiefs running back Kolby Smith.
The 5- foot-11, 219-pounder was signed by the Broncos in June after spending the first three years of his career with Kansas City then was waived on August 4.
Smith rushed for 540 yards and three touchdowns on 162 carries in 27 career games.
Jaguars rookie running back Deji Karim underwent surgery on his left thumb on Tuesday and that warranted the signing of Smith.
The Jaguars waived linebacker Kris Griffin to make room on the roster for Smith.
