Jets Fine And Suspend Strength And Conditioning Coach Sal Alosi
According to reporter Manish Mehta, the New York Jets have fined strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi $25,000 and suspended him for the 2010 season for tripping Miami Dolphins reserve cornerback Nolan Carroll on Sunday
“We’re extremely disappointed with what he did,” GM Mike Tannenbaum said. “There’s no place for it in the game. He knows that. It’s our job to hold him accountable for that.”
Alosi, shortly after the incident, apologized for tripping Carroll saying this to the NY Daily News:
“My actions were inexcusable and irresponsible,” Alosi said today. “I’m extremely thankful that my actions yesterday didn’t result in any significant injury.”
