Jets QB Mark Sanchez Injures Knee During Bills Game

New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez left during the third quarter of Thursday’s 19-13 win over the Bills with a right knee injury.

Sanchez hurt himself when he dove for a first down on a broken play. Following the drive, he immediately went to see the trainers and walked to the locker room with a slight limp.

“I’m not sure if (the injury was on that play), but I think it was when he scrambled,” said New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan. “The kid’s got to understand — we’re trying to teach him to slide, but he’s competitive and he wants the first down. He’s got to understand that it’s in the organization’s best interest to slide, and he’s got to grow up and understand that he represents our entire organization.”
